disABLED Adults Social Acitivities Foundation (DASA) is a Non-Profit 501(c) (3) corporation established in July of 2002. DASA was formed by two former counselors at a local week long summer camp program. Together they have close to 30 years of experience and wanted to start something new for adults with diabilities who were no longer eligible to attend many camps and activities with other organizations due to age. What started out as a weekend reunion of former campers at YMCA Camp Ockanickon in Medford, NJ, turned into an annual retreat of 30 or more people. Other activities also include meeting up at local events such as minor league baseball games, the Philadelphia Zoo, and the Philadelphia Art Museum.
